Let’s Build a Better Future!
The main inspiration behind the designs prepared to be featured at specific locations where the Arçelik brand meets the audience is Arçelik’s Eco-Friendly Movement, especially the concept of “Responsible Production, Responsible Consumption”.
In these designs placed at prominent points in the city, a story is told about the life cycle necessary for the sustainability of our planet, where the structures below and above the ground around the Arçelik logo carry energy to each other through moving lights.
We conceptualized the underground as Arçelik’s “invisible” efforts and work, and the surface as the world where consumers live, as well as the nature in our common dreams. In the three-dimensional design, where the exchange of energy is emphasized through the passage of light, the beginning and end of the cycle are indefinite. What is certain is that, in order to reach our dreams, we need to participate in this movement together, with joy, enthusiasm, but also with care.

Cinema Paradiso
“The astonishment derives from a magical metamorphosis rather than a seamless reproduction of reality”
In the Hermès Istanbul storefronts, we bring Hermès products to life with a magical cinema machine. The patterns on scarves come to life on stage, the products animate, move, and fly. We aim to transform the storefronts into three-dimensional cinema scenes to surprise, entertain, and enchant the audience with the magic of design.
Just like the wonderful films playing at the famous cinema in the small Sicilian village of Giancaldo, Cinema Paradiso encourages the audience to imagine, reflect, face reality, and embrace the beauty of life.

Oops!
For all Kısmet by Milka stores, special windows and connected interior spaces were designed based on the theme of the period, “Oops!” Infinite mirrors and moving images were used to create the window display design, while photo booths and wall patterns were placed inside the stores, turning them into experiential areas. The designs were created to invite, surprise, and delight viewers who enter or pass by the stores, transforming them into experiences.

“Sun Never Sets On Me&10 Times More Resilient in Water”
We designed displays for Penti focusing on two main themes for summer 2023. For the first, we aimed to highlight the 2023 Penti summer woman, who is strong, confident, self-assured, at peace with herself, and enjoying her time on the sea, unaffected by the setting sun. To achieve this, we placed a strong woman next to a sun figure in displays that change color with time and angle.
The second theme centered around swimsuits made with innovative, water-resistant Lycra technology. We presented this by creating a real-life experience in the display window. Using a backdrop that changes color, we showcased a swimsuit waiting in a pool of chlorinated water alongside a digital clock indicating the elapsed time. Passersby could see the condition of Penti swimsuits even days or weeks later.

The Astonishing Beauty of the Nature
In the created displays of “The Astonishing Beauty of the Nature” concept, we encounter the captivating beauty of nature that draws us in. It feels as if we are witnessing the magnificent natural phenomena of a distant planet. The images of the Northern Lights (aurora) illuminate the sky with their dancing colorful lights, while the rainbow reflects the vibrant spectrum of nature. The visuals of the crashing wave and volcanic eruption make us feel the power and energy of nature.
The production of a work of art throws a light upon the mystery of humanity. A work of art is an abstract or epitome of the world. It is the result or expression of nature, in miniature. For, although the works of nature are innumerable and all different, the result or the expression of them all is similar and single. Nature is a sea of forms radically alike and even unique. A leaf, a sun-beam, a landscape, the ocean, make an analogous impression on the mind. What is common to them all, — that perfectness and harmony, is beauty. The standard of beauty is the entire circuit of natural forms, — the totality of nature; which the Italians expressed by defining beauty “il piu nell’ uno.” Nothing is quite beautiful alone: nothing but is beautiful in the whole. A single object is only so far beautiful as it suggests this universal grace. The poet, the painter, the sculptor, the musician, the architect, seek each to concentrate this radiance of the world on one point, and each in his several work to satisfy the love of beauty which stimulates him to produce. Thus is Art, a nature passed through the alembic of man. Thus in art, does nature work through the will of a man filled with the beauty of her first works.

Animals on Motion
“Animals reflect the perfection and harmony of nature in its purest form. Observing them means bearing witness to the enchantment of nature.” Rachel Carson
The Animals on Motion concept not only showcases Hermès’ profound reverence for the magnificence of the natural world but also exemplifies its penchant for vibrant design aesthetics, offering a spellbinding experience to all who bear witness.
In the showcases, we are trying to find animals playing hide and seek and blending into the colors of nature. Mischievous and playful animals, running from left to right, accompany those animals hidden in unexpected places. Toucans, tigers, giraffes, and turtles are just a few of the animals frequently used in Hermès products.
As mesmerizing visual illusions intertwine with ingenious artistic forms, vivid and stylized animal illustrations come to life, animating the essence of nature itself within Hermès’ display windows, leaving an indelible impression upon all who gaze upon them.

“House of Brothers Lounge Serving Area Design, Contemporary Istanbul 18”
Root, path, journey..
“The root of a meaningful life lies in understanding where you’ve come from, the path you’re on, and the journey you envision.”
The entire design was inspired by the brave journey undertaken by two brothers in 1836 in the Speyside region of Scotland. An approximate route of this journey was identified, and the elevation profile of this route became the main graphic element forming the ‘leitmotif’ of the design.
In four separate areas of the presentation space, we showcased various designs inspired by the same journey but in different forms. This presentation was curated in conjunction with the functional structure of the space, considering not only artistic creations but also the overall design of the presentation area as a unified whole.
Furthermore, given that this lounge area was located within a contemporary art fair, it aimed to emphasize the ambiguity between art and design through the productions.
In the design of the House of Brothers Lounge Area, with the curatorial contribution of Ceylan Önalp, Alper Derinboğaz’s general space design, and Balkan Karışman’s digital art pieces, a collaborative unity was created within the space.

KIOSQUE HERMÈS ISTANBUL Event Design
A contemporary kiosk design inspired by the geometric pattern of Hermès’ Pythagore Blanket. The design draws inspiration from Pythagoras, one of the most prominent figures in mathematics, who also lived in close proximity to Turkey geographically. The kiosk incorporates a modern interpretation of the geometric patterns, creating a visually striking and culturally significant structure.
Around the centrally positioned kiosk in the space, seating groups, large and small play areas, a turkish coffee and flower stand, a dog food stand, and tabletop owl installations were designed to transform the area in Zorlu Shopping Mall’s open space into a pleasure zone for viewers. Both walking paths and entertainment zones were strategically placed to suit the space.
The pattern on the kiosk was also applied to the food and water stand designed for dogs and placed in the area. Giant games and tabletop games were crafted to form a playable aesthetic with each piece.

Palpbox Window and In-Store Experience Stand
In order to promote greater awareness of the importance of breast self-examination (palpation), one of the most important methods of breast cancer diagnosis, we designed a window display and an accompanying in-store stand for Penti, one of the leading brands in the industry.
In the window displays, we demonstrated the movements that need to be performed during self-examination using dynamic lighting. Additionally, in the stands placed inside the stores, we transformed the act of performing these movements into an experiential activity.

Pentilicious
In line with Penti’s Pentilicious themed campaign, we brought fashion photo shoots and the dynamism of the city to the storefronts. Fixed color backgrounds placed within overlapping cityscapes extended from the window displays onto the streets, allowing passersby to immerse themselves in the Pentilicious feeling and experience a delightful moment amidst the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Penti&Saude
In the displays designed to highlight the collaboration between the Penti and Saude brands and showcase their new products, we aimed to emphasize the impact of healthy living. We visualized this by featuring a green smoothie in the storefronts. Instead of settling for just a mixer model placed in the window, we turned the display into an interactive space by including a recipe specially created for this collaboration, which viewers could make themselves, with the ingredients listed in the display.

Constellations
When designing the first showcase of Nackiyé brand’s showroom located in Akaretler Sıraevler, we aimed to highlight the promised lifestyle of the brand rather than its products. As it would serve as an introduction, we crafted an artistic, elegant, bold yet ambiguous statement. Taking inspiration from the collaborative works of Miro and Calder titled “Constellations,” we created a design that is fluid, playful, sculptural, and intriguing. We designed a lightweight and floating slide with spheres sliding on it, anchored to the ground from one side, reminiscent of their works. We took the colors from the subtle pink used in the store’s windows and interior, as well as the Klein blue highlighted in the products. Additionally, by writing the brand’s name in the same color on the showcases, we symbolically marked the opening.

“The wonder of life lies in the hidden stories of everyday objects. These seemingly ordinary items, when looked at closely, reveal a mesmerizing beauty and unveil the surprising depth woven into the fabric of the mundane existence.”
Hermès enriches everyday objects with creativity, meticulous details, and an element of surprise, offering a fun and cheerful experience. In our window displays, we take a closer look at these products. And as we approach, we encounter a fun, playful, mischievous new world that goes unnoticed from the outside. Saddles that are actually snowy mountains, ties that become ski slopes, earrings transformed into cable cars, brushes turned into forests where children hide… In our windows, just like in our products, attention to detail is paramount, creating a surprising and mischievous Christmas world. Hermès invites individuals to a world where every interaction turns the ordinary into the extraordinary, capturing the essence of creative design and leaving a lasting impression of pure delight.

New Year
We used classical forms in the windows of Penti Nişantaşı Store to reflect the New Year’s spirit; We brought these forms together in a fun way. While we created a Christmas tree from red New Year’s balls in one showcase, we created a striking decoration from large red hemispheres on a white background in the other showcase. While we ensured that these two decorations were extended to other store windows, we also created 2D-printed images of the design to be used in other store windows.
